Dr. E. Bayne Carew's experience as faculty and independent businessman includes leadership roles in several companies involved in biotechnology, organic semiconductors and waste management. He served as the Director and Principal Investigator of the US Navy's Technology Center within Mechanical Engineering at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, with a Professorship at the University of Michigan in Dearborn before early retirement to start a waste remediation company.
His academic experience includes materials research at Ford Motor Company, Harvard/MIT, University of Pennsylvania, Carnegie Institution of Washington, Michigan Cancer Foundation, and the University of Michigan. Publications and Patents cover semi conductive polymers, laser vision, magnetic affinity carriers for viral particles, continuous industrial waste processing equipment and centrifugal filters in several different formats. His undergraduate and graduate training covered chemistry, biochemistry and biophysics at McMaster University (Canada), the University of Michigan and the University of Pennsylvania.
